Terrara House is a spectacular Federation Filigree mansion in the Shoalhaven district, and one of the most prestigious private houses in Australia. Built in 1904, this historic estate accommodates luxury stays, weddings and events.

The Brief

When the new owners of Terrara House engaged Mills + Franks, the estate needed to be repositioned from a private residence into a commercially viable luxury hospitality destination — supporting weddings, corporate events, and guest stays, with minimal existing infrastructure, branding, or operational systems in place.

Our Approach

Over three years, we worked as an extension of the ownership team — developing the strategic business plan, building the brand identity and marketing strategy from the ground up, and managing day-to-day hospitality and business operations. This included establishing event management systems and processes, driving business development to build a pipeline of weddings, corporate events and stays, and positioning Terrara House within the local Shoalhaven producer and hospitality network.

The Outcome

Terrara House is now a fully operational, high-performing hospitality business — with a dedicated team in place and a reputation as one of the Shoalhaven's most sought-after wedding and event venues. The estate became consistently booked out for weddings and events, and secured national media coverage including a feature on Better Homes & Gardens, further establishing Terrara House as one of the region's premier luxury destinations.
